What is a Subclass 485 Visa?
A Subclass 485 visa, also known as a Temporary Graduate Visa (TGV), lets international students live, study, and work in Australia after they finish their studies. Depending on qualifications and approval, a Subclass 485 visa can let students stay from two (2) to four (4) years. Think of it as a subscription to your stay in Australia after you subscribed to a student visa and finished studying; more like of an extension.
It’s also worth noting that the Subclass 485 Visa has four streams, or versions, namely:
Graduate Work stream - for international students who have recently graduated with qualifications that are relevant to specific occupations Australia needs
Post-Study Work stream - for international students who have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian institution.
Second Post-Study Work stream - for holders of a Temporary Graduate visa (first Post-Study Work stream or Replacement stream) who graduated with a degree from an Australian institution located in a regional area.
Replacement stream - for current and former Temporary Graduate visa holders who lost time on their original visa due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

What do you need to get one?
