Visa
Family Visa - This visa allows eligible family members to visit their relatives in Australia who are either citizens or permanent residents. This visa is designed by the Australian Government to promote family reunification. There are several categories of family visas: Partner Visa, Parent Visa, Child Visa, Contributory Parent Visa, and Prospective Marriage Visa to name a few.

There are 3 subclasses for Child Visa:

Child Visa Subclass 101 – This visa lets a child outside of Australia move to Australia to live with their parents. A child with this visa would have access to education and health insurance.

To qualify, a child must be a dependent of a parent who is an Australian Citizen, eligible New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian permanent visa; must be under 18 years, a full-time student aged over 18 and under 25 and financially dependent on the parent, or over 18 and unable to work due to a disability; be single and dependent on the parent; and be outside of Australia when the application is made.

Child Visa Subclass 802 – This visa subclass is very similar to subclass 101.

Dependent Child Visa Subclass 445 – This visa allows a child to stay in Australia temporarily while their parents' permanent partner visa application is being processed. To qualify, the child must be a dependent of the visa-holding parent; and be sponsored by the nominator or sponsor of the visa-holding parent. Parent Visa Subclass 103 – This permanent visa lets a parent of a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen move to Australia. To qualify, the applicant must have an eligible child who is a settled Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen; meet all applicable visa conditions and follow Australian law; and not have already applied for hold a Sponsored Parent (Temporary)(Subclass870) visa when applying for this visa. Sponsored Parent (Temporary)(Subclass870) - This temporary visa lets a parent of an Australian citizen; Australian permanent resident o eligible New Zealand citizen visit Australia for up to 3 or 5 years. To qualify, the applicant must have an approved Parent Sponsor before you can lodge an application for this visa; apply online for this visa; and lodge the visa application within 6 months of the sponsorship approval, or 60 days if you are given Permission to Apply In.
Partner Visa – There are 2 kinds of Partner visa. These are:

Partner (Provisional and Migrant) visa (Subclass 309 and 100) - This visa allows the partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia. You apply for the temporary and the permanent partner visas together.

Partner (Provisional) visa (subclass 309) - This visa lets the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia temporarily. Getting this visa is the first step towards a permanent Partner visa (subclass 100). This is a temporary visa that leads directly to a permanent partner visa. Partner (Migrant) visa (subclass 100) - This visa lets the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, live in Australia permanently. It is usually granted to people who hold a temporary Partner visa (subclass 309). This is a permanent visa and applicant must hold a Temporary Partner visa (subclass 309). Partner Visa (subclass 820 and 801) - These visas allow the partners of spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia. You apply for the temporary and the permanent partner visas together.

Partner visa (Temporary) (subclass 820) - This visa lets the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia temporarily. Getting this visa is the first step towards a permanent Partner visa (subclass 801). This is a temporary visa that leads directly to the permanent partner visa, and you must be in Australia when you apply for this visa. Partner visa (Permanent) (subclass 801) - This visa lets the de facto partner or spouse of an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen live in Australia permanently. It is usually only for people who currently hold a temporary Partner visa (subclass 820). This is a permanent visa, and the applicant must hold a Temporary Partner visa (subclass 820) when applying for this visa.
